F.A. Flores is a Boise based artist who works mostly with marker, pencil, paint, and ink. The pieces presented here are either on oak panels or MDF, and sealed with several layers of clear coat for durability, UV protection, and to prevent color from fading. Also, some of the work glows. While themes vary, each project is a reflection of compulsion and contrast. The work itself is informed by loud music, tremendous amounts of coffee, and old episodes of The Wire. Influences include The Designers Republic, Op-art, the mazes of Greg Bright, and The Anatomy Coloring Book.
