Artist Sydney Chivers was born in Boise, where she still lives and works.

By age four she was drawing and in the 4th grade she won a Christmas card competition and received a $20 gift card. She’s worked in many different mediums and is also a regular contributor to the Flying M’s Valentine for AIDS Benefit shows.

Her current series of acrylic paintings on wood panels are birds re-imagined as people or characters . In some of the works the bird is representing a specific person. In others, they're trios of idioms, anime characters, or Japanese drawings and tattoos.

The theme of ornithophile based, effort-free enjoyment is something the artist hopes people can delight in during these trying times.
